Asnate began her athletic journey in Latvia at age six. She competed and lived across Canada, the United States, and Europe — experiencing firsthand what it means to perform under elite pressure, and what it costs when that pressure is managed from fear rather than regulation.
After retiring from competitive basketball, she spent years studying the science behind what actually drives consistent high performance. A Master's in Neuroscience and Bachelor's in Psychology gave her the framework. Her own athletic journey gave her the truth.
The result is NEXT Athlete — a platform built on one conviction: that sustainable, authentic performance comes from a regulated nervous system and a stable identity, not from mental toughness or pushing harder.
"I don't teach people to trust research instead of their bodies. I use research to help people trust their bodies again."
Too many athletes perform from a place of fear. Fear of losing, fear of judgment, fear of not being enough. That fear activates the nervous system in ways that destroy the very performance it is trying to protect.
NEXT Athlete exists to change that. We train athletes to perform from authentic power — a regulated body, a clear mind, a grounded heart, and an identity that does not collapse under pressure.
This is not sports psychology. This is not motivational coaching. This is nervous system reconditioning at the level where performance actually lives.
